At Johnson & Johnson, we believe that education and innovation are key drivers in shaping the future of health and transforming the patient experience. The experiences of patients around the world inform and inspire our science-based innovations which continue to change and save lives. We apply rigorous science and compassion to confidently address the most complex diseases of our time. But our dedication doesn't stop at medication alone. We also focus on developing innovative tools and programs that support optimal care for patients. By continuously seeking opportunities to innovate and improve, we strive to revolutionize healthcare and enhance the overall well-being of patients.
Education and Innovation
We are committed to fully understanding patients' disease burden, needs, and treatment experiences, and we incorporate these learnings into our development of programs and solutions.
Driving education
Research suggests that informed patients are better equipped to make decisions about their disease management, resulting in improved outcomes and living better with chronic disease. Our awareness and education initiatives exemplify our commitment to shaping the future of health and transforming the patient experience. Some of these initiatives include:

Get Psorted
GetPsorted is an educational resource for people living with psoriasis. The website provides a range of general information and tips to help people with psoriasis manage their condition and feel supported.

PH Human
PH Human provides several interconnected tools and resources to support those living with PAH, encourage active engagement in their care, and give back some level of control over their condition and management.

Gastro Central
Gastrocentral is an interactive information hub that provides people living with Inflammatory Bowel Disease and their loved ones with important information on Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
Partnering for innovation
Patients and healthcare professionals help us understand access needs to accelerate research and develop patient-inspired innovation and solutions beyond the product. We are proud of the partnerships we have developed with patient advocacy groups to develop resources and initiatives to innovate the way patient support is approached and how education is received by patients. Some of these partnership initiatives include:

PAH Charter
As part of PH Human, PAH Patient Charter was created in collaboration with patients, advocacy groups, and healthcare professionals, which sets out what patients should expect from their PAH care.

Lung Cancer Guidebook
The Lung Cancer Guidebook was developed in partnership with patient advocacy groups and healthcare professionals to help people navigate information about lung cancer that enables them to have more open discussions with their doctor.

Patient Experience Research
This project involved a strong partnership with Community and Patient Preference Research (CaPPRe) to develop a thorough understanding of the PAH and psoriatic arthritis (PsA) patient experience. The project consists of qualitative and quantitative research to examine the patient experience and identify areas of potential improvement. The findings help Johnson & Johnson, as well as industry partners and the Government, to understand patient needs, preferences, and experiences and are a step forward in integrating the patient voice into decisions about healthcare in Australia.

Breaking Depression
In collaboration with the Global Alliance of Mental Illness Advocacy Networks-Europe (GAMIAN), and the European Federation of Associations of Families of People with Mental Illness, the Breaking Depression campaign was designed to support awareness of the different types of depression and understanding of the challenges for people living with major depressive disorder (MDD).
Helping doctors help you
High-quality education is developed in true partnership with the patient and medical community to increase knowledge about diseases and the latest standards of care.
We partner closely with patient organisations to help develop educational resources for patients and healthcare professionals.
We believe that medical education must integrate the voice of the community so that healthcare professionals can tailor their approaches to disease management in an impactful way for patients. Examples of ways we work with the medical community to support patients include:
Immunology Patient Support Program
This program is designed for patients living with an immunological disease who have been prescribed a Janssen medicine with educational resources and support.
PH Patient Support Program
A suite of educational tools and resources to help patients take a more active role in their care that tailored to their specific needs, questions, and interests.
PAH nurse program
PAH Nurse Program: a program designed to provide people living with pulmonary arterial hypertension with nurse educational support. Each nurse is specially trained in lung disease and can offer invaluable assistance with treatment information, advice for managing side effects and contact details for other support services.
